Money can buy art. Or it can become art. Visual artist Kristi Malakoff has turned currency into sculpture with beautiful results. Below are some examples from her Polyhedra Series.

Intersecting Star was made with four bills from Brazil, Zambia, Egypt, and Bolivia.
Canadian Star Ball was made with two Canadian $5 bills.
Iraqi Bloom was constructed out of three dinar bills.
This is certainly a long way from those elementary school exploits of folding a US $1 bill so George Washington’s head looked like a mushroom.
