Isabella in Black and White

A few months ago I had the great pleasure of customizing a Claremont Collection invitation design for one of my oldest friends. Denise and I met at the ripe ol’ age of three in nursery school (that’s what we called it back then, not pre-school!). As we grew older, we always ran with different cliques, but still remained friends through the years — we even walked together as commencement partners in our caps and gowns at our high school graduation.

It was an honor to be present on Denise & Jeff’s wedding day in Baltimore, and especially exciting to have a hand in their wedding stationery. Going with a clean and classic black and white color scheme, Denise chose our Isabella design, which perfectly matched her sophisticated and traditional style. We modified the fonts by her request and added a dark gray metallic envelope liner for that extra surprise detail. We simply love how this dapper and classic suite turned out.

Hello! Lucky Father’s Day Printables

Eunice and Sabrina over at Hello! Lucky are offering free printable labels and cards for all your Father’s Day gifts—a fun way to spruce up your usual (read: boring) gifts for Dad. They suggest printing them on label paper so you can easily stick them to bottles or socks. Genius, and cute to boot! Thanks, ladies!

I Want to Ride My Bicycle

Here on the east coast, the weather is warm, there is always a line for water ice, traffic on the Garden State Parkway is always a beast and we can now officially wear white shoes until Labor Day without alerting the fashion police — do you know what that means?

It is officially bike season.

Public Bikes are the perfect two-wheeled rides for design-minded folks. Not only are the bikes pretty, but so is their clean and simple branding with a distinct and cheerful color palette. Win-win.

Lollia

If you frequent Anthropologie like we do, you’re probably very familiar with the Lollia line. As Curious is embarking on a new package design project for a beauty product, I’ve been taking a closer look at the items on my own dressing table—and realizing that I have been gifted a number of Lollia items, each and every one exquisitely packaged. Taking a closer look, designer Margot Elena has infused every design with a charming sophistication (think soft textiles and calming typography) and the result is beautiful.

Are there any beauty products that you have to have, simply because the package is so pretty?

Grey Cardigan

I had never heard about Grey Cardigan until today, when our friend Cyd posted photos of their National Stationery Show booth on her Instagram and blog, The Sweetest Occasion. In no time at all, I’m already smitten with the work of Brian Jasinski, a Cleveland-based illustrator and designer with a quirky style all his own.
